Assistant Manager - Program Management

Role & responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing program execution from product transfer, NPI (New Product Introduction), industrialization, pilot builds, ramp-up, and serial production.
• Serve as the primary interface between customers, manufacturing operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, and business stakeholders for program execution.
• Own program delivery commitments, including schedule adherence, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive production readiness reviews and ensure availability of materials, tooling, equipment, test infrastructure, documentation, and resources.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, and Customer Support to achieve program objectives.
• Manage manufacturing schedules, capacity planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor program KPIs such as OTD (On-Time Delivery), Yield, Cycle Time, Cost, Inventory, and Production Efficiency.
• Lead customer reviews, production status meetings, escalation management, and delivery commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen projects, Lean Manufacturing, and operational excellence across manufacturing programs.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and process controls.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to identify and mitigate material shortages, supplier risks, and obsolescence challenges.
• Manage program financials including cost targets, manufacturing budgets, and margin improvement initiatives.
• Lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and supply chain issues impacting production timelines.
• Establish governance mechanisms, risk registers, action trackers, and executive reporting for program reviews.
• Provide periodic updates to senior leadership through dashboards, reports, and presentations on program health and business performance

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Overall experience of 8 to 12+ years in Manufacturing Program Management, Operations Program Management, Industrialization, or Electronics Manufacturing.
• Strong experience managing manufacturing programs in EMS, Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Automotive, Industrial, or High-Reliability Manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience in NPI, product industrialization, production ramp-up, and lifecycle management.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, quality systems, and supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials management, test and inspection systems, quality assurance, and logistics.
• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics.
• PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification would be an added advantage.
