Assistant Manager - Packaging & Design

Role & responsibilities

• Design and development of internal, inter-plant, and returnable packaging such as bins, boxes, trolleys, and racks.
• Estimation of logistics, transportation, packaging, and sequencing costs for new RFIs and RFQs.
• Preparation and release of RFQs for packaging and logistics development activities.
• Calculation of logistics requirements, storage norms, and turnaround time (TAT).
• Development and implementation of customized storage solutions, including ASRS.
• Define, analyze, and optimize material flow and part storage layouts.
• Ensure packaging designs comply with ergonomics, safety norms, and customer standards.
• Preparation of logistics sign-off documents as per customer requirements.
• Coordination with suppliers, fabrication vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of automotive packaging and logistics development
• Understanding of ergonomics, fabrication processes, and storage systems
• Proficiency in CAD tools and MS Office
• Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination
