Assistant Manager or Senior Excecutive

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Manager or a Senior Executive of MKCI Green Innovation Centre located in Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. This position will be responsible for Product development of hydrogen production electrode for Alkaline Water Electrolyzer, scaling up of the electrode product, and safety management in the laboratory. This position also will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating between different departments and cooperation with R&D center in Japan, ensuring compliance with company policies, and managing team performance. The role also requires handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues happened in the laboratory promptly.

Qualifications

• PhD degree or Master's degree in Electrochemistry, Material Chemistry, or related field
• Previous experience in a manufacturing company of electrode is preferred
• Previous experience in a management role is preferred
• Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a plus
• Publication of scientific papers about water electrolysis is a plus
• Leadership and Team Management skills

Mitsui Kinzoku Components India Private Limited(MKCI) was incorporated on 23 June 2005 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui Mining & Smelting Company Limited Limited, Japan. Mitsui Mining & Smelting Company Limited has a 150-year history, and is in business about manufacturing and sale of engineered materials and electronic materials, nonferrous metal smelting, resource development, precious metal recycling, material-related business, manufacturing and sales of automobile parts, etc. MKCI manufactures and sells catalytic converters for the automobile industry. It has two production facilities, one at Bawal Industrial Area in Haryana and the other at Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Using its catalyst technology, MKCI is contributing to a sustainable India by supplying high performance catalytic converters with very low precious metal content to renowned two and four wheeler manufacturers in India. Recent years, MKCI has established a chemistry laboratory in Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and is proceeding research and development of electrocatalyst for hydrogen production with its partner professor in IIT Delhi.
