Assistant Manager or Manager - Sales - Pharma & Life Sciences

JOB OVERVIEW

Develop sales and customer relationships in the pharmaceutical and life-sciences market for the companys relevant specialty portfolio. The role requires consultative selling, disciplined opportunity management and close coordination with technical and product teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and develop pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life-sciences, laboratory and other relevant target accounts for the assigned product portfolio.
• Build a qualified pipeline through customer visits, technical discussions, referrals, industry events and targeted prospecting.
• Understand customer applications, qualification requirements and buying processes; coordinate technical responses, samples and documentation.
• Prepare quotations and proposals, negotiate commercial terms and progress opportunities through evaluation, approval and purchase order.
• Maintain relationships with key accounts and channel partners and develop account plans to grow repeat business and share of wallet.
• Coordinate with R&D, technical service, quality, production, supply chain and finance to support customer requirements and order fulfilment.
• Track sales performance, forecast, market trends and competitor activity and ensure timely follow-up on receivables and customer concerns.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors or masters degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or a related field.

Experience

5 to 10 years in pharma/life-sciences B2B sales or specialty products.
