Assistant Manager - MIS, SAP and Data Management

The Ass Manager - MIS, Data Management & SAP Operations - will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, MIS reporting, SAP transaction management, and operational execution support for the Sourcing & Trading function. The role will act as the backbone of business operations by providing timely reports, maintaining master data integrity, supporting contract execution, and ensuring seamless coordination between Sourcing, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.

The position requires a excellent SAP handling capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced commodity trading environment.

Role & responsibilities

1. MIS & Business Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for Sourcing & Trading activities.
• Generate reports on purchases, inventory, contracts, supplier performance, arrivals, and market positions.
• Develop dashboards and KPI trackers for management review.
• Analyze procurement, logistics, and inventory data to support decision-making.
• Provide timely reports to leadership teams for business reviews and audits.
• Automate and improve reporting processes using Excel & SAP tools.

2. Data Management & Governance

• Maintain and ensure accuracy of sourcing and trading data across systems.
• Manage master data related to suppliers, materials, pricing conditions, contracts, and customers.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation across SAP and business reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance requirements.
• Lead periodic data cleansing and standardization exercises.
• Support internal and external audit requirements related to sourcing and trading data.

3. SAP Operations & Transaction Management

• Execute SAP transactions related to procurement, contracts, inventory, and logistics.
• Create and maintain Purchase Orders (POs), contracts, scheduling agreements, and related documentation.
• Manage material master and vendor master data changes in SAP.
• Monitor open POs, goods receipts, stock movements, and invoice reconciliation.
• Coordinate with Finance and Supply Chain teams to resolve system and transactional issues.
• Support SAP process improvements and digital initiatives.

4. Execution & Commercial Coordination

• Coordinate shipment schedules, delivery tracking, and contract execution activities.
• Monitor contract utilization and ensure timely closures.
• Track supplier commitments and delivery performance.
• Support documentation for imports, domestic procurement, and exports.
• Assist in reconciliation of quantities, pricing, and commercial settlements.
• Coordinate with plants, warehouses, and logistics teams for smooth material movement.

5. Analytics & Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process simplification and automation.
• Perform trend analysis on procurement, inventory, and supply chain performance.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and planning exercises.
• Build business intelligence reports to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Sourcing & Trading function.
