Job Description: Assistant Manager MIS & Business Analytics (Finance)

Avenue E-commerce Limited (AEL) is an online extension of Avenue Supermarts Limited flagship brand. Dmart Ready is the mobile application through which our customers order grocery and other utility products. We seek to be a one-stop shopping destination for the entire family, meeting all their daily household needs offering value for money. A wide selection of home utility products is offered at an affordable price, including groceries, foods, toiletries, beauty products, garments, kitchenware, bed and bath linen, home appliances and much more. Currently we are present at Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Role Objective

We are looking for a highly analytical and result-oriented professional to lead MIS reporting, financial data analysis, dashboard development, and business performance tracking. The primary responsibility will be to transform raw financial and operational data into meaningful insights that enable management to make informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. MIS Reporting & Management Dashboards

• Develop, manage, and enhance daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management.
• Design interactive dashboards to track business performance, profitability, revenue, expenses, and other key performance indicators.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting.
• Develop customised reports and dashboards based on management requirements.
• Automate repetitive reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

2. Business Insights & Data Analytics

• Analyse large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop new reports, analytical models, and performance metrics to provide deeper visibility into business performance.
• Identify the reasons behind revenue fluctuations, cost increases, margin changes, and deviations from targets.

3. MIS Automation & Process Improvement

• Build advanced Excel-based reports and dashboards using Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data models.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions wherever applicable.
• Improve data collection, validation, reporting formats, and analytical processes.
• Establish standardised KPI definitions and reporting practices across departments.
• Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and reliability of management information.
