As part of the University's continued commitment to excellence in Doctoral programme, quality research, timely completion of Ph.D. programmes, and effective scholar support, the Department of Doctoral Studies and Research (DSR) invites applications from eligible internal candidates for the position of Assistant Manager / Manager – DSR.

The selected candidate will play a key role in monitoring Ph.D. scholar progression, facilitating research support and mentorship, coordinating with Ph.D. Supervisors and academic stakeholders, and ensuring effective implementation of DSR processes and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and track the academic and research progress of Ph.D. scholars, coordinating with Supervisors, Deans, and University officials to provide timely guidance, academic support, and mentorship for the time-bound completion of Ph.D. programmes
• Plan, coordinate, and organize skill enhancement, research training, capacity-building, orientations, expert sessions, academic/research events, and other DSR initiatives for Ph.D. scholars and Supervisors
• Facilitate research guidance and mentorship for Ph.D. scholars, support their pursuit of research grants and projects, and provide guidance on suitable journals and publication opportunities
• Address and facilitate the resolution of queries, concerns, and issues raised by Ph.D. scholars and Supervisors, in consultation with the Dean, DSR
• Monitor and maintain MIS, dashboards, scholar progress records, reports, databases, and other DSR documentation for institutional monitoring and review
• Perform any other academic, research, administrative, coordination, or managerial responsibilities as assigned by the Dean, DSR

Qualifications & Eligibility

• Ph.D. degree either in Applied Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine or Physiotherapy is desirable.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant academic, research, or administrative experience for Assistant Manager and preferably 7+ years of relevant experience for Manager
• Experience in Ph.D. administration, doctoral education, research coordination, academic administration, or research management will be preferred.
• Sound understanding of Ph.D. processes, research methodology, scholarly publications, research grants/projects, and academic regulations will be an added advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, analytical, documentation, MIS, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple academic and research-related activities and timelines.

Alongwith Assistant Manager/Manager designation, Academic designation like Assistant Professor etc. will be given.
