Position Assistant Manager - Logistics
Department Supply Chain & Logistics
Location Bangalore - HO
Reporting To Associate Director - Supply Chain
Key Responsibilities1. Logistics Operations
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
- Monitor daily dispatches, delivery schedules, and order fulfilment.
- Manage documentation including invoices, e-way bills, GRN, delivery challans, etc.
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or delays.
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle availability, freight negotiation, and route planning.
- Ensure optimal load planning to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Oversee last-mile delivery performance.
- Evaluate vendor performance (TAT, cost, reliability).
- Handle escalations related to delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Monitor logistics expenditure and implement measures for cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory documentation, GST and logistics policies.
- Support internal audits related to logistics processes.
- Prepare MIS reports including freight cost, delivery performance and daily dispatch reports.
- Analyze logistics KPIs and recommend process improvements.
- Strong understanding of logistics, transportation and supply chain processes.
- Good negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or equivalent.
- 3–6 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations (industry-specific experience preferred).
- On-time delivery rate.
- Logistics cost per unit/ton.
- Inventory accuracy and dispatch accuracy.
- Transportation TAT.
