Assistant Manager_ HR

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain and monitor statutory records, registers, returns, licenses, and compliance documentation.
• Support compliance related to Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, Shops & Establishments, and other applicable labour laws.
• Coordinate with government authorities, labour departments, inspectors, and external consultants during inspections and audits.
• Support Industrial Relations (IR) activities, including employee grievances, disciplinary matters, absenteeism, and workplace issues.
• Assist in handling show-cause notices, domestic enquiries, disciplinary actions, and labour-related matters.
• Coordinate with contractors/vendors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements for contract labour.
• Prepare regular HR MIS, compliance reports, dashboards, and analytical reports for management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of HR Compliance and Labour Laws.
• Good understanding of Industrial Relations and employee grievance handling.
• Experience in handling statutory audits, inspections, and labour department requirements.
• Good analytical and MIS reporting skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and HR systems.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters.
• Strong documentation and coordination skills.
