Assistant Manager - FP&A

Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager FP&A is responsible for on-time and accurate reporting, building financial models, tracking operational metrics, providing leadership with actionable data to optimize costs and profitability, Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Analytics & Reporting:

• Supports the preparation and submission of balance sheet, profit-and-loss and other consolidated statements and financial reports.
• Generate and analyze financial reports. Ontime submission of Financial MIS reports, executive dashboards, and strategic financial summaries for leadership team.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to compare actual performance against targets, identifying key financial drivers, trends, and risk areas.
• Build and maintain complex financial models and scenario analyses for major projects, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting tasks and improve the efficiency of financial planning processes.

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

• Ensure to maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
• Record all financial transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards in line with RPM essential key controls.
• Support the effort to ensure that policies and procedures are being adhered to & that all key internal controls are executed and evidenced.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
• Manage vendor and customer ledger reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Assist in internal and statutory audits.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely closure of accounts.
• Prepare, review, and issue invoices to clients and customers as per contract terms.
• Process vendor payments in a timely manner and maintain payment schedules.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax deductions (TDS, GST, etc.) before processing payments.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in accounting, finance operations & reporting.
• Experience in a corporate setup or financial services company preferred.
