Assistant Manager - Forex Treasury

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end forex operations including booking, validation, confirmation, settlement, cancellation, and rollover of FX contracts.
• Review deal confirmations and coordinate with banks for discrepancy resolution and settlements.
• Monitor foreign currency exposures and support execution of hedging strategies.
• Track forward contracts, MTM positions, and hedge effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI regulations, and other forex-related statutory requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory filings and maintain treasury documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Manage treasury back-office activities including forex limits, banking documentation, agreement review, and LEI renewals.
• Support hedge accounting, month-end closure activities, and treasury-related reporting.
• Prepare treasury MIS, exposure reports, management presentations, and analytical reports.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on treasury matters.
• Coordinate renewal and administration of Property and Liability Insurance policies and related documentation.
• Support interactions with rating agencies and banking partners.

Required Skills

• Sound knowledge of Forex Operations, Treasury Products, and Hedging Instruments.
• Good understanding of FEMA and RBI regulations.
• Knowledge of hedge accounting and treasury accounting concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP/Treasury Management Systems will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Hands-on experience in corporate treasury, forex operations, banking, or financial risk management.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance orientation.
