Assistant Manager - File To File Comparison

Role Overview

The incumbent will combine bureau data domain knowledge with strong technical and analytical capabilities, translating complex comparisons into actionable insights. This role will be critical in driving data-driven insights from bureau datasets, helping improve match quality, detect inconsistencies, and enable better client engagement. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Responsibilities

• Perform large-scale file-to-file comparisons across bureau datasets to identify member-wise and portfolio-wide hit rate variations
• Missing / suppressed tradelines and fragmentation issues
• Excess tradelines indicating incorrect linkages or mixed files
• Variations in delinquency, vintage, and enquiry data
• Quantify discrepancies (%, trends, patterns) and build structured comparison frameworks
• Derive actionable insights from comparison outputs
• Root cause analysis of data inconsistencies
• Identification of match quality gaps
• Portfolio-level performance diagnostics
• Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations for SM improvements
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to present
• Hit rate trends and portfolio benchmarking
• Tradeline discrepancies and linkage issues
• Delinquency and enquiry patterns
• Automate reporting pipelines for recurring insights using modern tools
• Partner with internal teams to support client discussions with data-backed insights
• Enable industry benchmarking and comparative analysis
• Present findings to business stakeholders in a structured and compelling manner
• Identify opportunities to enhance Search Match algorithms and processes
• Contribute to building frameworks, best practices, and reusable analysis assets for the new practice

Required Knowledge And Experiences

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in: SparkSQL / SQL (mandatory)
• Big data handling and performance optimization
• Experience in dashboarding / visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Good understanding of data pipelines and structured/unstructured data

Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of bureau / credit data, including tradelines, enquiries, delinquencies
• File structures and matching logic
• Experience in data reconciliation / comparison analysis preferred
