Assistant Manager-EXIM (Imports)

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Import Operations and Import Documentation.
• Handle Import LC (Letter of Credit) and Inland LC processes with banking partners.
• Coordinate with Finance, Indirect Tax, Purchase, Customs, CHA, Freight Forwarders, and Overseas Suppliers.
• Follow up with banks for LC issuance, amendments, negotiation, document scrutiny, and closure.
• Ensure timely custom clearance of import consignments at Ahmedabad and Mumbai locations.
• Manage import-related documentation and compliance requirements.
• Monitor shipment status and coordinate with stakeholders for seamless material movement.
• Maintain import MIS, records, and data management.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5-6 years of experience in EXIM, Import Operations, International Trade, or Supply Chain.
• Strong knowledge of Import Documentation, LC Management, Customs Clearance, and Banking Procedures.
• Experience working with CHA, Customs, Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders, and Banks.
• Good knowledge of DGFT, Foreign Trade Regulations, and Import Compliance.
• Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
