Assistant Manager - Driveline Design

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop tractor transmission/gearbox systems as per performance and application requirements.
• Develop gear trains, gear ratios, shafts, housings, bearings and related transmission components.
• Perform gear, shaft, bearing, torque, strength and durability calculations.
• Prepare and review 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, GD&T and engineering specifications.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation and production trials.
• Conduct DFMEA, design reviews, tolerance analysis and design optimization.
• Coordinate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, Purchase and Suppliers for product development.
• Resolve design, performance, noise, vibration and durability issues through RCA and corrective actions.
• Support cost reduction, VA/VE and design improvement activities.
• Manage engineering changes, BOM, drawing releases and technical documentation.
• Benchmark competitor tractor transmissions and support new transmission/platform development.
