Assistant Manager Direct Tax and Statutory Audit

As the Assistant Manager for Direct Tax and Statutory Audit, you'll ensure compliance with tax laws and audit standards. With around 5 years of experience, preferably as an Inter CA or Semi-Qualified professional, you'll need ERP proficiency to manage financial data efficiently. Job Description:

1. Conduct statutory audits in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

2. Collaborate with audit teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of audit procedures.

3. Assist in the verification of fixed assets and reconciliation of inventory.

4. Manage all aspects of tax audit processes, including assessment and scrutiny related work.

5. Ensure timely filing of TDS returns and payments, including quarterly returns and monthly payments.

6. Coordinate with authorities and facilitate the filing of Form 60 as required.

7. Prepare monthly financial statements and assist in finalization of accounting entries.

8. Provide support for internal audits and assist in addressing audit findings.

9. Oversee renewal of insurance policies and facilitate quotes for various insurance types.

10. Manage documentation and follow-ups related to insurance claims.

11. Liaise with insurance companies regarding additions, deletions, and relocations of stores.

12. Facilitate foreign remittances and provide financial data for bank-related processes.

13. Prepare UFCE declarations and assist in yearly stock audits conducted by banks.

14. Support credit rating processes by providing necessary details and documentation.

15. Review depreciation calculations and manage entries for asset write-offs and sales.

16. Assist auditors in fixed asset verification and creation of asset codes.

17. Update fixed asset registers for store relocations or closures and handle related entries.

18. Prepare stock statements and undertake any other tasks assigned by seniors.

Skill Required:

1. Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.

2. Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in direct tax and statutory audit.

3. Preferably Inter CA or Semi-Qualified with a strong understanding of Accounts & taxation laws.

4. Proficiency in ERP systems, with the ability to extract and analyze financial data.

5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

7. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
