Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager (Digital Personal Data Protection)

Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager DPDP to support client engagements focused on compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. The role involves conducting privacy assessments, identifying compliance gaps, developing implementation roadmaps, and supporting data privacy governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute DPDP compliance assessments, gap analyses, and privacy risk assessments for clients.
• Support the development of DPDP implementation roadmaps, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Conduct client workshops, stakeholder interviews, and compliance discussions.
• Review privacy notices, consent mechanisms, data processing agreements, and contractual clauses.
• Prepare assessment reports, presentations, and remediation plans.
• Coordinate with client stakeholders across Legal, IT, Risk, Compliance, and Information Security.
• Support project delivery, team coordination, client presentations, and proposal development.

Mandatory Requirements

• Law degree is compulsory.
• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in data privacy, legal advisory, regulatory compliance, or risk consulting.
• Prior client-facing experience in a consulting firm, Big Four, law firm, or professional services environment.
• Working knowledge of the DPDP Act, 2023, and applicable rules.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting privacy assessments and regulatory compliance projects.
