Assistant Manager - Costing

Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and qualified Assistant Manager - Costing to join our Finance team at Shabad, Telangana. The ideal candidate must be a CMA-qualified professional with 0-2 years of experience and a strong understanding of costing, financial analysis, budgeting and plant finance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain product costing and standard cost sheets, including raw materials, packing materials, labour and overheads.
• Perform actual vs. standard cost variance analysis and identify key cost drivers.
• Analyse material consumption, production yield, wastage and conversion costs.
• Prepare monthly plant MIS, financial reports and profitability analysis.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process for the plant.
• Monitor and analyse inventory valuation, stock movements and inventory-related costs.
• Identify and support cost reduction and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Work closely with Production, Procurement, Stores and other departments to improve cost efficiency.
• Support new product costing and profitability analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of costing data in Tally ERP.
• Support month-end closing, audits and other financial reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies, accounting standards and company procedures.
• Provide meaningful financial and costing insights to management for decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

• CMA / ICWA qualification is mandatory.
• 0-2 years of experience in Costing / Finance & Accounts, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of product costing, standard costing, variance analysis and inventory accounting.
• Good working knowledge of Tally ERP and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial and operational data.
