Assistant Manager Commercial

Role & responsibilities

Seeking an Assistant Manager - Commercial with experience in commercial, finance, and accounting activities for EPC/Transmission & Distribution projects. The role involves supporting site commercial operations, invoicing, financial reporting, compliance management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and manage day-to-day commercial activities at the project site, including invoicing, budgeting, and cost tracking.
  • Prepare MIS reports and maintain records of actual expenses against budgeted expenses.
  • Monitor account receivables and payables and ensure timely follow-up of payments.
  • Assist in preparing project financial reports, including P&L statements and other commercial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, customs, and legal obligations.
  • Manage commercial documentation, ERP entries, banking activities, audits, and cash flow requirements at the site.
  • Coordinate with finance, procurement, logistics, and project teams to support effective project execution

Preferred candidate profile

B. Com / M. Com with 8+ years of relevant experience in commercial and finance functions within EPC/Infrastructure/T&D projects.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, commercial operations, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in invoicing, budgeting, accounts receivable/payable management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and commercial documentation.
• Previous international or Africa project experience will be an added advantage.
• Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
