Job Summary:

Looking for an experienced Australian Taxation professional with 6+ years of overall experience and strong hands-on exposure to both Direct and Indirect Taxation for the Australian region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Applies an understanding of tax law and accounting concepts and uses enterprise technology products to scope, plan and execute core tax compliance processes and generate tax outputs
• Perform Monthly tax calculations, Analysis of effective tax rates, and forecast income tax expense; Prepare workpapers and tax returns (quarterly for NZ and annually for Aus)
• Calculate GST across and submit tax return & Calculate income taxes across legal entities and submit tax return
• Preparation of tax notes, income tax returns and assist with preparation of different reports, such as country-by-country report, local file etc
• Prepare tax returns for fringe benefit tax (FBT), withholding tax (WHT), and GST; and prepare tax payment calculation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of total experience in taxation, with significant hands-on experience in Australian taxation.
• Mandatory experience in both Direct Tax and Indirect Tax for the Australian market.
• Strong knowledge of Australian corporate income tax and GST.
• Experience in tax return preparation/review, tax reconciliations and compliance reporting.
• Good understanding of Australian taxation legislation and ATO requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with Australian clients/entities will be preferred.
