About this role
- The Assistant - Maintenance supports the maintenance team in ensuring that all building systems, equipment, machinery, and facilities remain operational, safe, and well maintained
- The role involves assisting with preventive and corrective maintenance activities, inspecting equipment, identifying faults, and coordinating repairs under the guidance of supervisors or maintenance engineers
- Responsibilities include checking electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and other facility systems; attending to routine maintenance requests; recording breakdowns and repair activities; and ensuring that maintenance tools and materials are used properly
- The assistant helps schedule preventive maintenance, follows maintenance checklists, and reports unusual sounds, leaks, damages, or performance issues promptly
