Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics & Dispatch Executive to manage day-to-day dispatch operations from Oben Electric’s manufacturing plant in Jigani. The role will be responsible for coordinating vehicle dispatches, managing transportation partners, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining dispatch documentation, and tracking shipments to ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch Operations: Manage daily dispatch activities from the Jigani plant, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of finished goods, components, and other materials as per delivery schedules.

Transportation Coordination: Coordinate with transporters, logistics vendors, and drivers for vehicle placement, loading, and timely movement of shipments.

Shipment Tracking: Track dispatched materials and finished goods, monitor delivery timelines, and proactively resolve delays or transportation-related issues.

Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and maintain dispatch documents, delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, LR/GR copies, and other relevant logistics records.

Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate with the warehouse, production, and inventory teams to ensure material readiness, proper packaging, and accurate quantity verification before dispatch.

Dealer & Distributor Coordination: Coordinate with dealers, distributors, and internal sales teams regarding dispatch schedules, delivery commitments, and proof of delivery.

Logistics Cost Management: Monitor transportation costs, freight charges, and transporter bills while ensuring cost-effective logistics operations.

Inventory & Record Management: Maintain dispatch registers, shipment trackers, transporter details, and records of goods dispatched and delivered.

Issue Resolution: Handle transit delays, damaged goods, shortages, delivery discrepancies, and other logistics-related issues.

Reporting: Prepare daily and periodic reports on dispatch volumes, pending shipments, delivery status, transportation costs, and logistics performance.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve dispatch turnaround time, optimize transportation, and enhance overall logistics efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Graduate in any discipline; a qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations is preferred.

2–5 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or supply chain operations.

Experience in a manufacturing, automotive, EV, or industrial environment will be an added advantage.

Good understanding of transportation management, dispatch documentation, e-way bills, and GST-related logistics compliance.

Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems; experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is preferred.

Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and vendor-management skills.

Ability to manage multiple dispatches and meet tight delivery timelines.

Willingness to work from the Jigani manufacturing plant.
