Assistant Key Account Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Key Account professional with a strong background in the Automotive Components industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing new business opportunities, managing OEM relationships, and driving revenue growth in products such as Gears, Axles, Transmissions, Forgings, Machined Components, and Bearings.

Role & responsibilities

• Drive business growth by identifying new customers, applications, and market opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and key industrial customers.
• Generate new business leads and convert opportunities into long-term business.
• Achieve sales targets and revenue objectives through strategic account management.
• Handle commercial discussions, price negotiations, and contract finalization.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and business development plans.
• Manage and grow existing key customer accounts.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (MBA in Marketing preferred).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Automotive parts Business Development/Sales is mandatory.
• Exposure to products such as Gears, Axles, Transmission Components, Forgings, Machined Parts, Bearings, Sheet metal parts or Precision Engineering Components.
• Strong understanding of OEM business development and customer acquisition.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Working knowledge of CRM/ERP systems and sales reporting.
