Senior Manager Transport Operations

Location: Mumbai
Reporting To: Director – Auto Logistics
Team Size: 6 Direct Reportees

Key Responsibilities / KRA

• Lead end-to-end trailer transportation operations across multiple customer locations, ensuring fleet availability, utilization, timely vehicle placement and on-time delivery.
• Manage 200+ company-owned trailers, including maintenance, driver management, route planning, productivity and operational efficiency.
• Own P&L, budgets and operational cost control, with focus on fuel, maintenance, manpower and other logistics cost drivers.
• Drive customer service and SLA performance, ensuring on-time, damage-free dispatches/deliveries, safety and compliance across sites.
• Lead operational reviews, MIS and performance improvement initiatives while managing and developing the wider operations workforce of 450+ employees.

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of experience in transport/logistics operations, with strong hands-on experience managing company-owned truck/trailer fleets.
• Candidates from Auto Logistics / Automotive / OEM transportation / large-scale logistics operations with experience managing multi-location transport operations will be preferred.
• Should have strong exposure to P&L ownership, fleet utilization, cost control, customer management and operational KPIs, along with good communication and presentation skills.
