Role Overview:

As the Site HR (Assistant General Manager), you will serve as the primary strategic partner for our Gujarat manufacturing facility, overseeing the entire spectrum of human resources and industrial relations. You will work closely with plant leadership, functional heads, and external regulatory bodies to ensure seamless site operations. Your role is pivotal in maintaining a harmonious shop-floor environment, driving talent retention, and ensuring that our human capital strategy directly supports the company's production targets and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct all site-level HR operations, including payroll, statutory compliance, and administrative functions, to ensure the facility runs with maximum efficiency.

- Lead industrial relations initiatives by proactively managing union negotiations, collective bargaining, and shop-floor discipline to maintain a stable and productive work environment.

- Oversee the end-to-end talent acquisition process for the site, ensuring that critical technical and operational roles are filled with high-caliber talent in a timely manner.

- Implement robust grievance handling mechanisms to address employee concerns promptly, fostering a culture of transparency and mutual trust.

- Ensure strict adherence to all state and central labour laws, managing audits and regulatory inspections to mitigate legal and operational risks.

- Drive organizational development initiatives, including training programs and performance management systems, to elevate the skill sets of the site workforce.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex industrial relations and navigating the intricacies of labour laws within the Gujarat industrial landscape.

- Proven ability to lead large-scale HR operations in a manufacturing environment, balancing administrative rigor with strategic human capital planning.

- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from shop-floor workers to senior management.

- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret HR metrics and translate them into actionable business insights for site leadership.

- A postgraduate degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations from a reputed institute, complemented by 14 - 25 years of progressive experience in plant-based HR roles.

- High degree of adaptability and on-site presence, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
