About this role
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with railway project and production requirements.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers for railway components and assemblies.
- Lead RFQ, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations and supplier finalization.
- Drive cost reduction, VA/VE, should-cost analysis and value engineering initiatives.
- Source sheet metal, fabricated, machined, electrical, electronic and other railway components.
- Develop alternate suppliers and ensure supply-chain continuity.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, payment terms, lead times and pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality and delivery.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Projects and Finance teams for sourcing requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project schedules and production plans.
- Conduct supplier reviews, audits and capability assessments where required.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and continuously improve the supplier base.
