Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Purchase & Procurement function for the manufacturing plant.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement plans for direct and indirect materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors.
• Handle vendor negotiations, costing, commercial terms, contracts, and payment terms.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, electrical items, engineering materials, and consumables.
• Monitor cost reduction, quality, delivery, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Stores, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Planning teams.
• Manage vendor performance, development, audits, and evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Analyze market trends, material prices, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Lead and mentor the purchase team and ensure smooth day-to-day procurement operations.
• Prepare and review MIS, procurement reports, cost-saving reports, and management dashboards.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Purchase/Procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of engineering materials, components, and technical specifications.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, cost-control, and analytical skills.
• Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier development.
• Good knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Office.
• Strong communication and team-management skills.

Preferred:
Candidates from an engineering/manufacturing background with hands-on experience in core procurement and vendor management.
