Assistant General Manager - Project (Civil) - Doddaballapura

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end civil and infrastructure execution for plotted development projects.
• Oversee site development, earthwork, levelling, road formation, drainage, stormwater systems, water supply, sewage networks, and other infrastructure works.
• Plan project schedules, resource allocation, manpower deployment, and material requirements.
• Ensure execution as per approved layouts, engineering drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, surveyors, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Monitor contractor performance, work progress, productivity, and adherence to project schedules.
• Ensure quality control, site inspections, testing, and compliance with engineering standards.
• Monitor project budgets, quantities, measurements, billing, and cost variations.
• Review BOQs, estimates, running account bills, and contractor claims in coordination with the QS and Accounts teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, statutory requirements, and project approvals.
• Conduct regular site reviews and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management.
• Identify execution challenges, resolve site-level issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure proper documentation of drawings, measurements, material records, quality reports, and site instructions.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities and consultants for inspections and infrastructure-related approvals, where applicable.
• Drive timely completion and handover of the project as per approved quality and delivery standards.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in civil construction and infrastructure execution.
• Experience in plotted development, layout formation, and external infrastructure works.
• Knowledge of roads, stormwater drains, underground utilities, water supply, and sewage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Strong project planning, budgeting, contractor management, and execution skills.
• Knowledge of quality control, safety standards, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project planning/reporting tools.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Experience

1218 years of relevant experience in civil construction and infrastructure execution, preferably in plotted development or large-scale layout projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Proven track record of independently managing civil execution at project sites.
• Strong experience in contractor and manpower management.
• Ability to deliver projects within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Willingness to work full-time at the Doddaballapura project site.
