Responsibilities:

- Leads, develops and manages a team of professional contributors, fostering engagement, accountability, performance and continuous development. - Establishes priorities, allocates resources and monitors performance to ensure achievement of functional and business objectives. - Applies lead expert knowledge and authority to resolve highly complex business, operational or functional challenges. - Provides authoritative guidance and recommendations on matters requiring advanced specialist expertise and professional judgement. - Shapes development and implementation of professional standards, methodologies, frameworks or practices within the area of expertise. - Supports development of organisational capability through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing with professionals, specialists and future experts. - Contributes expert leadership to strategic initiatives, projects and organisational improvement activities. - Collaborates with senior stakeholders across functions, businesses or locations to align priorities and achieve organisational objectives. - Ensures compliance with applicable policies, governance requirements, professional standards and organisational expectations. - Contributes to organisational success through effective leadership, recognised authority and advancement of professional practice.

Qualifications:

- Lead expert knowledge within a specialised discipline, typically developed through extensive professional experience, recognised expertise and continuous professional development. - Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, capability development, performance management and team leadership. - Ability to apply advanced specialist expertise and professional judgement to highly complex business situations and strategic challenges. - Proven capability to shape professional standards, methodologies, practices or frameworks within a specialist discipline. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and provide authoritative recommendations. - Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders and deliver results through others. - Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and diverse audiences. - Broad understanding of organisational priorities, business drivers and developments relevant to the specialist discipline. - Commitment to leadership excellence, professional integrity and continuous advancement of team and organisational capability.
