Assistant General Manager(Exports)

Role & responsibilities

• Drive international sales and achieve revenue targets across assigned territories.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Explore and expand business in Africa, Middle East, CIS, South East Asia, and APAC markets.
• Manage customer relationships, contract negotiations, and supply agreements.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, Regulatory, Logistics, and Finance teams for seamless order execution.
• Oversee export documentation, shipping activities, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and business planning for new market entry.
• Organize product promotions, conferences, CMEs, and business development activities.
• Monitor MIS reports, market trends, and sales performance for management review.
• Ensure timely customer support, grievance handling, and issue resolution.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or MBA (Marketing/International Business).
• 10-15 years of experience in Pharmaceutical International Business/Exports.
• Strong exposure to international markets, distributor management, and export operations.
• Hands-on experience in contract negotiation, international trade, logistics, and supply chain coordination.
• Excellent communication, business development, and relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, export documentation, LC documentation, and international regulatory requirements will be preferred.
