Assistant Finance Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Assistant Manager Finance to manage and strengthen our finance operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, audit coordination, treasury and banking activities. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of accounting, taxation, statutory regulations and working capital management.

Experience in the jewellery, gold, bullion, manufacturing, retail or trading industry will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Statutory Compliance & Audit

• Coordinate statutory audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
• Prepare and review financial statements, audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Handle MCA/ROC filings and applicable statutory compliances.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants and external agencies.

2. Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare management reports, financial statements and balance sheet schedules.
• Review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes.

3. Treasury & Banking Operations

• Monitor cash flow, working capital and funding requirements.
• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for banking facilities.
• Handle or coordinate CC/OD limits, Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG) and other facilities, where applicable.
• Monitor bank limits, fund utilization and banking documentation.
• Support working capital management and financing requirements.

4. Business & Inventory Finance

• Support financial operations related to jewellery retail, manufacturing and trading.
• Monitor inventory valuation and reconciliation for gold, diamonds, pearls and other precious materials.
• Coordinate finance-related requirements for bullion and precious-metal transactions.
• Support commodity hedging and related risk-management activities, where applicable.

5. Team Management & Process Improvement

• Supervise and guide junior finance and accounting team members.
• Coordinate with internal departments, management, auditors and consultants.
• Improve accounting procedures, internal controls and reporting processes.
• Support ERP utilization, automation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of statutory audit, financial reporting and accounting.
• Practical experience in MCA/ROC compliance and financial statement finalization.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax and applicable statutory requirements.
• Experience in treasury, cash-flow management and working capital.
• Knowledge of banking facilities, including CC/OD, LC and BG.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP such as Tally, SAP or Oracle.
• Strong analytical, communication, coordination and team-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in jewellery, gold, bullion, manufacturing, retail or trading businesses is preferred.
• Exposure to FEMA/RBI compliance, related-party transactions, transfer pricing or commodity hedging will be an advantage.
