Assistant Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. Role & responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable.

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and reconcile accounts regularly.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ledgers, and reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform variance analysis along with reasoning and prepare Monthly/ Quarterly Management Reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and tax requirements.
• Prepare and submit VAT, WHT, IT/ ZAKAT returns on timely basis.
• Assist with audits and liaise with internal/ external auditors.
• Implement and improve financial controls and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial insights and analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA or equivalent qualification (CMA/ ACCA/ CPA).
• 2-3 years experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment. Familiarity with local tax laws and reporting requirements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
