Assistant Finance Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial record keeping.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and fund utilization across projects.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and donor guidelines.
• Coordinate with auditors and support internal and statutory audit processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and project accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare financial reports and utilization statements for funders and donor agencies.
• Liaise with funders and respond to financial queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Support financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Work closely with program teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

• MBA in Finance

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Confidence in interacting with funders, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
