Assistant Finance & Accounts Manager

Location: Uganda
Experience: 8+ Years - Africa exp. Must

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete Finance & Accounting operations, including books of accounts, GL, invoicing and reconciliations.
• Lead monthly and year-end closing, accruals, provisions, depreciation and financial adjustments.
• Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, MIS and management reports.
• Monitor budgets, variance analysis, product costing, margins and profitability.
• Manage Accounts Receivable, collections, credit control and customer reconciliations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, supplier reconciliations, purchase accounting and payments.
• Manage cash flow, banking, treasury and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure VAT, withholding tax, payroll taxes and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate internal/statutory audits and support tax/regulatory reviews.
• Manage fixed assets, prepayments, advances, intercompany and other balance-sheet accounts.
• Strengthen internal controls, ERP processes, maker-checker controls and financial procedures.
• Lead, guide and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

Candidate Profile

• CA Qualified with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting & Auditing.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Uganda experience is an added advantage.
• Candidates with India or Africa experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of taxation, compliance, internal controls and ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills.
• Strong command of English.
