About the Role

Medanta is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team and support accounting, GST compliance, reconciliations, and financial operations across our Diagnostics and Pharmacy verticals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and expense booking.
• Manage GST-related activities, including GST return preparation, filing coordination, reconciliation, and compliance.
• Perform GST reconciliation between books of accounts, purchase registers, and GST portal data, including GSTR-2B and GSTR-3B.
• Support vendor reconciliations, invoice verification, payment processing, and follow-up on outstanding items.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, MIS reports, and month-end closing activities.
• Ensure accurate accounting of pharmacy and diagnostic business transactions, including sales, purchases, inventory-related entries, and vendor invoices.
• Work on SAP/ERP systems for accounting entries, financial data processing, and report generation.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for GST audits, statutory audits, and internal audits.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and applicable statutory requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) or an equivalent qualification; M.Com or relevant certification would be an added advantage.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance operations.
• Hands-on experience in GST-related activities, including returns, reconciliation, and compliance.
• Working knowledge of SAP or any other ERP system.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, pharmacy, or retail accounting will be an added advantage.
