Assistant Engineer - Electrical

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot HT/LT switchgear, transformers, induction motors, VFDs, and plant lighting systems.
• Read, interpret, and work with electrical control schematics.
• Manage and supervise electrical equipment operations independently during night, weekend and holiday shifts without direct guidance.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures strictly adhering to ISRPL SOP.
• Install and provide temporary electrical connections in the field as required.
• Perform parameterization of numerical relay/VFDs and ensure adherence to hazardous area classifications.
• Support & execute maintenance for the electrical equipment associated with the finished goods section.
• Execute new projects and any other additional job as and when required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5 to 6 Years of experience in handling maintenance of Electrical systems.
• Must have hands-on experience in maintaining HT/LT switchgear, transformers, induction motors, VFDs, and plant lighting systems.
• Must have a strong understanding of hazardous area classifications.
• Must be capable of reading and interpreting electrical control schematics.
• Must have knowledge of electrical equipment protection systems.
• Must have experience in managing shifts independently, including night shifts.
• Experience with finished goods conveyor lines.
• Functional knowledge of SAP is essential.
• Prior experience in the petrochemical/chemical/fertilizer industries is preferred.
