Assistant / Deputy Manager - Maintenance (sheet metal background)

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all Electrical & Mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment in the fabrication unit
• Lead preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure zero downtime
• Strong experience in managing electrical & mechanical systems of EOT Cranes, Grit Blasting units, and Conveyor systems in a fabrication/manufacturing environment
• Plan and execute electrical projects, installations, and upgrades
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations
• Coordinate with production, fabrication, and maintenance teams for smooth operations
• Handle electrical load management, energy optimization, and cost control
• Supervise and guide a team of electricians and technicians
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in fabrication machinery such as CNC, welding machines, cutting equipment
• Maintain documentation related to electrical systems, audits, and inspections
• Vendor management for electrical components and services

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels
• Experience in fabrication industry machinery and operations
• Knowledge of PLC, VFD, SCADA systems is preferred
• Understanding of electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance (like ISO, electrical safety norms)

Preferred candidate profile:

• Experience in heavy fabrication / sheet metal / structural fabrication
• Knowledge of energy management and cost optimization
• Exposure to automation and process improvement
