Assistant / Deputy Manager: Costing & Accounts

About the Role

You will handle costing and accounts for our manufacturing businesses. You will work with the corporate team and with plant finance teams, and you will present numbers to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Costing: Prepare product costs, standard costs and variance reports. Maintain BOM costs and inventory valuation. Keep cost records ready for cost audit.
• Accounts: Do monthly closing, support financial statements under Ind AS, and handle reconciliations and inter-unit accounts.
• Tax and compliance: Support GST, TDS and income tax work, and statutory filings.
• Budgets and MIS: Prepare budgets, forecasts and plant-wise and product-wise MIS.
• Audit: Work with statutory, internal and cost auditors, and follow internal controls.
• Plants and teams: Coordinate with plant, sales, purchase and corporate teams, and explain results clearly.

Requirements

• Qualification: CMA (Final qualified). Semi-qualified candidates are not considered.
• Experience: Minimum 3-4 years after CMA qualification, in costing and accounts.
• Industry: Manufacturing companies only. Chemicals, fertilisers, textiles/fibre, sugar, plastics or similar process industries are preferred.
• Systems: Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (RISE), especially costing and finance modules. Good Excel skills.
• Personality: Good communication, a professional manner, and confidence in dealing with plant teams and senior management.
• Career record: Stable, without frequent job changes.
