About this role
Roles and Responsibilities: Skills Required:
- Create basic 3D models (props, simple characters, environment pieces) under guidance
- Assist with texturing and UV unwrapping
- Support basic VFX work (particle effects, simple shaders) using Blender
- Learn and apply rigging and animation basics for simple objects/characters
- Use AI-assisted tools (texture generation, retopology helpers, etc.) to speed up work, while also building manual skills
- Help prepare and export assets for use in Unreal Engine (and Unity, if applicable)
- Take feedback from senior artists/developers and iterate on assets
- Handle day-to-day small asset requests to keep the game dev pipeline moving
Experience- 0 - 1 Year
- Working knowledge of Blender (modeling, texturing, UV unwrapping)
- Basic understanding of how 3D assets are used in game engines
- Willingness to learn VFX and animation on the job
- Comfortable experimenting with AI tools for 3D/art workflows, while still building strong manual fundamentals
- A portfolio or personal projects showing Blender work (college projects, personal renders, freelance samples all count)
Good to Have
- Any exposure to Unreal Engine (import/export, basic material setup)
- Unity familiarity (optional, not mandatory)
- Any exposure to AI tools in art pipelines (texture gen, AI rigging/animation assist tools)
- Basic understanding of PBR texturing concepts
