What you will be responsible for

At Z Hotels, engineering excellence is built through six structured commitments:

a. Govern Infrastructure Reliability & Preventive Maintenance

You'll:

• Maintain structured preventive maintenance calendar
• Conduct routine equipment inspections
• Track breakdown patterns and eliminate root causes
• Ensure AMC contracts are active and monitored
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs

When you do this well — breakdowns reduce and uptime improves.

b. Drive Utility Management & Cost Discipline

You'll:

• Monitor electricity and water consumption
• Track DG fuel usage
• Identify abnormal consumption trends early
• Implement energy-saving initiatives
• Review vendor billing accuracy

When you do this well — margins remain protected without affecting guest comfort.

c. Enforce Safety, Compliance & Risk Governance

You'll:

• Maintain fire safety system readiness
• Ensure statutory certifications remain valid
• Conduct compliance checks regularly
• Maintain audit documentation
• Flag high-risk technical issues early

When you do this well — the property remains inspection-ready at all times.

d. Stabilize Breakdowns & Crisis Situations

You'll:

• Respond immediately to urgent infrastructure issues
• Coordinate across departments during outages
• Implement temporary fixes where required
• Communicate clearly with GM and FO
• Conduct structured root-cause review post incident

When you do this well — guest inconvenience remains minimal.

e. Supervise Engineering Team & Vendors

You'll:

• Allocate daily technical tasks clearly
• Supervise critical repairs
• Monitor vendor service quality
• Ensure tools and materials availability
• Maintain structured reporting discipline

When you do this well — execution remains disciplined and predictable.

f. Protect Assets & Maintain Property Health

You'll:

• Identify wear-and-tear risks early
• Plan refurbishment proactively
• Coordinate minor civil and repair works
• Maintain aesthetic integrity of public areas
• Align upkeep planning with occupancy cycles

When you do this well — asset life extends and capital cost reduces.
