Assistant Branch Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in managing and driving the overall LAP business of the branch.
• Manage, guide, and monitor BSMs to achieve business and productivity targets
• Drive LAP sourcing through DSA (Direct Selling Agents), connectors, and open-market channels.
• Ensure achievement of monthly login, disbursement, and business targets.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching and guidance to BSMs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with DSAs, connectors, customers, and other business partners.
• Ensure quality sourcing and adherence to credit, KYC, documentation, and compliance guidelines.
• Track the loan cycle from sourcing and login to sanction and disbursement, coordinating with Credit & Operations.
• Review branch performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Support portfolio quality through effective coordination and timely resolution of business process issues.

Preferred candidate profile

• 4-8 years of relevant experience in LAP / Housing Finance / NBFC / Banking.
• Prior supervisory / team-handling experience in LAP is mandatory. • Strong understanding of LAP products, sourcing, credit process, and documentation.
• Proven ability to manage and drive a sales team; strong DSA / connector network is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of the local market and open-market sourcing. •
• Good communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-management skills.
