Assembly Engineer

Purpose

Responsible for supporting lithium-ion cell manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, process monitoring, and continuous improvement. The role involves ensuring smooth production, equipment reliability, product quality, and strict compliance with SOP, safety, and manufacturing standards across cell manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate and monitor lithium-ion battery manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth and continuous production.
2. Support key cell manufacturing processes including winding, cell assembly, electrolyte filling, electrode fabrication, formation, and testing.
3. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery to minimize equipment downtime.
4. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues and support timely breakdown resolution.
5. Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and other machine/process settings to maintain process consistency.
6. Identify and analyze production and quality issues and support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
7. Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, waste reduction, and yield improvement.
8. Maintain equipment, production, maintenance, and downtime records and prepare required reports and documentation.
