As an AS400 Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining and enhancing applications on AS400 platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements.
• Designing, coding, testing, and debugging AS400 applications ensuring high-quality software deliverables.
• Developing and optimizing COBOL and CL programs using DDS.
• Supporting application integration and data exchange with other systems.

Skills/experience required:

• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Understanding software version control systems like ALDON, THENON, IMPLEMENTOR, TURNOVER.
• Mentor AS/400 developers in design, development, and maintenance.
• Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and analyse requirements for AS/400 application development and enhancement.
• Write efficient and well-structured code to implement business logic and functionality on AS400 platform.
• Perform unit testing to ensure the quality of developed applications.
• Maintain and enhance existing AS/400 applications by troubleshooting issues, implementing bug fixes and optimizing performance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user manuals.
• Review code by other developers and provide feedback.
• Propose new solutions to modify existing business process for efficient and better performance.
