Lead GenAI Developer

Location: Kalyani Nagar, Pune Experience: 6+ Years

About the Role We are seeking a Lead GenAI Developer with a strong software engineering background in Python and hands-on experience building enterprise-grade Generative AI applications. The ideal candidate should have progressed from Python development into GenAI and possess expertise in designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI solutions using RAG architectures and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Build AI-powered APIs, microservices, and integration layers for enterprise applications.
• Evaluate and recommend AI infrastructure, including vector databases and LLM platforms, based on business requirements.
• Develop model evaluation frameworks to measure performance, accuracy, and response quality.
• Optimize AI applications for scalability, latency, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Python.
• Minimum 2.5–3 years of hands-on experience in Generative AI application development.
• Proven experience designing and implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning concepts and model evaluation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI GPT, Claude, Llama, or other Large Language Models.
• Experience working with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, or Milvus.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar GenAI frameworks.
• Exposure to AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or Google Vertex AI.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong foundation in Python software development with a transition into Generative AI.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade AI applications rather than proof-of-concept solutions.
• Comfortable working across the complete AI application lifecycle, from solution design and development to deployment and optimization.
• Passionate about leveraging emerging AI technologies to solve complex business problems.
