Article Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and execution of Statutory Audit assignments.
• Conducting Tax Audits and preparation/review of Tax Audit Reports.
• Finalization of financial statements in accordance with applicable Accounting Standards.
• Preparation and review of Income-tax Returns for companies, LLPs, firms and individuals.
• Handling Direct Tax compliances including Advance Tax, TDS and related statutory compliances.
• Drafting replies to notices and preparing submissions before the Income-tax Department.
• Handling assessment, reassessment, rectification and appellate proceedings before the Assessing Officer and Commissioner of Income-tax (Appeals).
• Research and analysis of provisions of the Income-tax Act and judicial precedents.
• Client coordination and ensuring timely completion of assignments while maintaining quality standards.

Desired Profile:

• CA student eligible for Articleship, with a keen interest in Direct Taxation and Tax Litigation.
• Strong fundamentals in Accounting and Income-tax with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good drafting, communication and research skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and other relevant software.
• Sincere, proactive and willing to learn, with the ability to take ownership of assignments and work effectively in a professional team environment.
