Job Description – Art Director

About the Role

Havas Creative is for looking for a talented and experienced Art Director to join our creative team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have a strong visual sense, excellent conceptual thinking, and the ability to translate brand briefs into impactful creative ideas across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strong and innovative visual concepts based on creative and brand briefs.
• Lead the visual direction for integrated campaigns across digital, social media, print, OOH, and other platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Copywriters, Creative Directors, Account Management, and other teams to develop compelling campaigns.
• Create and present concepts, mood boards, storyboards, layouts, and visual references.
• Ensure consistency in brand identity, visual language, and creative quality across all deliverables.
• Guide and mentor junior designers and creatives while maintaining high creative standards.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage timelines effectively.
• Stay updated on emerging design trends, visual styles, technologies, and cultural trends.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the overall creative strategy.
• Collaborate with photographers, illustrators, production teams, and external partners when required.
• Ensure all creative outputs meet quality, brand, and communication objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of experience as an Art Director / Senior Visual Designer / Senior Art Director in an advertising, creative, or digital agency.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and visual storytelling.
• Experience working on integrated campaigns across digital and traditional media.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, colour, imagery, and visual hierarchy.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced agency environment.
