Role Description The Area Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for driving sales of residential and commercial rooftop solar solutions within the assigned territory. This role involves identifying and qualifying prospective customers, conducting site visits, understanding customer energy needs, and presenting tailored solar proposals. The specialist will manage the full sales cycle, including negotiations, closing deals, and coordinating with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution. Daily activities include maintaining relationships with existing customers, providing post-sale support, tracking market trends and competitor activities, and preparing regular sales reports and forecasts. The role also includes participating in local marketing initiatives, attending events, and promoting Solar Smart's offerings to expand the customer base.
Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage prospects, build trust, and provide clear guidance throughout the sales process.
• Proven Sales and Sales Management abilities to generate leads, manage pipelines, achieve targets, and support territory growth.
• Experience in Training team members or channel partners on product features, sales techniques, and basic solar concepts.
• Knowledge of solar or renewable energy solutions, or a strong interest in learning the sector.
• Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, travel within the assigned area, and manage field visits effectively.
• Comfort with basic CRM tools, reporting, and MS Office for tracking leads and preparing proposals.
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in sales.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work ethically with diverse customers and stakeholders.
