Area Sales Officer

Roles and Responsibilities :

 Sales Execution & Target Achievement

Achieve assigned secondary sales targets and support primary sales objectives
Drive product-wise sales through effective outlet servicing and order generation
Ensure conversion of POB into actual secondary sales through consistent follow-ups
Maintain discipline in daily reporting, attendance, and sales tracking

Outlet Coverage & Distribution Expansion

Ensure full coverage of assigned beat plan and relevant outlets within the territory
Identify and onboard new outlets to expand numeric distribution
Drive repeat orders and improve outlet productivity through regular engagement
Support new product launches by ensuring placement and availability across outlets.

Market Execution & Merchandising

Ensure effective implementation of merchandising standards, visibility, and branding initiatives
Execute trade schemes and promotional activities at the outlet level
Monitor competitor presence and provide market feedback to the supervisor
Maintain hygiene in display, stock rotation, and product placement

Channel Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors
Coordinate with distributors for timely order fulfilment and stock availability
Address retailer concerns and ensure high service levels in the assigned territory
Support overall channel performance by driving engagement and trust

Job Requirements 

• 2-15 years of experience in FMCG sales or similar industry.
• Proven track record in area sales or territory sales with a focus on rural markets.
• Strong understanding of distributor handling and channel partnerships.
• Excellent field sales skills with ability to work independently.
