Area Sales Officer

Role & Responsibilities

• Drive primary and secondary sales of TMT bars across the assigned territory to meet monthly volume and value targets
• Manage and expand the channel/counter network dealers, sub-dealers, and retail counters ensuring consistent offtake, stock availability, and payment discipline
• Develop project sales by mapping ongoing and upcoming construction sites (residential, commercial, infra) and converting them into direct or channel-routed orders
• Build and maintain influencer relationships architects, contractors, structural engineers, masons, and consultants to generate brand pull and site-level specification
• Track competitor pricing, schemes, and network activity; feed market intelligence back to the sales/marketing team
• Ensure timely order booking, dispatch coordination, and outstanding/credit recovery from the assigned accounts
• Execute brand-visibility and BTL activities at counters and sites (branding, mason meets, contractor engagement)
• Maintain daily sales reporting, beat plans, and account-wise records

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5-10 years of field sales experience, preferably in TMT/steel, cement, or allied building-material products
• Strong existing relationships within the local dealer/contractor/influencer ecosystem in the assigned territory
• Graduate (any stream); a diploma/degree in civil or marketing is an added advantage
• Comfortable with extensive field travel and market coverage; owns a two-wheeler and a valid driving licence
• Good local-language fluency and negotiation skills, with working knowledge of order/collection processes
• Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work with distributor margins and credit dynamics
• Basic proficiency in reporting tools (WhatsApp/Excel)
