Area Sales Manager

Role & responsibilities :

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales, revenue, and distribution targets across West Bengal.
• Manage sales operations, including distributors, super stockists, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
• Build and expand the distribution network to strengthen market coverage, product availability, and market penetration.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, including Sales Officers and field sales personnel, to achieve business targets.
• Monitor sales performance, route coverage, market execution, and team productivity through regular reviews and market visits.
• Identify, appoint, and manage distributors and channel partners while maintaining strong business relationships.
• Conduct regular market visits and competitor analysis to identify market opportunities, trends, and competitive activities.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic performance reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure effective promotions, merchandising, stock availability, and timely deliveries.
• Monitor collections, credit limits, and receivables to maintain healthy channel finances.
• Drive new market development, distribution expansion, and overall sales growth across West Bengal.
