Area Sales Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, architects, contractors, and project customers.
• Identify and appoint new dealers and distributors in the assigned territory.
• Generate new project leads and convert them into business opportunities.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Conduct regular market visits to understand market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements.
• Manage existing dealer/distributor accounts and improve business volumes.
• Develop new markets and expand the company's customer network.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing, schemes, and market activities.
• Prepare regular sales reports and provide market feedback to management.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3+ years of experience in field sales/business development.
• Experience in flooring, building materials, interior products, plywood, laminates, tiles, sanitary ware, paints, or related industries will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the local market with established dealer/distributor contacts.
• Proven ability to generate new dealers, distributors, and project leads.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Target-oriented with a proactive approach to sales.
• Willingness to travel extensively and conduct regular market visits.
• Good understanding of sales processes and territory management.
